Thankfully rise

Let our hearts rise above

fill our hearts with love

Grateful for being here

In such a great country

All things are possible

To those who trust

Not in ourselves

Nor in our neighbor

but in the one creator

Arise and shine

WIth thanksgiving in our hearts

Our minds prepared

to be kind and loving

Through out the year

Reach beyond boundaries

Equally striving to become

The best our Creator Created

Never lessened by hate

Make no mistake

It is an individual

Responsibility to thrive

Arise and shine

WIth love not hate

Starting with Thanksgiving

In our hearts

Quiet Peace

Join me in the silent moments

Regaining peace and wonderment

Gladly rejoicing in all that is given

Holding loved ones near and dear

There are no grudges held

All is washed as white as snow

In the silence hold your peace

Let each moment speak

Leaving memories purely white

CHristimas tree barren

The Christmas tree’s Bough is about to break

Heavy   laden   with   commercialism

Thus black Friday leaves a black eye

Wrapped in packages not love

Swaddling clothes are tattered

Bells ring is hollow

Souls left empty

Hearts of coal

Season of Love

Silent fall of snow

Blankets of white covers grass

Slip, slide as you go

Hear children’s laughter

Hot chocolate warms the soul

Woodstoves all aglow

Holidays approach

Soon loved ones voices ring out

Adding to joy the about

This is what brings peace

On earth and good will to men

Love shared from the heart

Not the trees glitter

Nor the presents set under

Or the carols sung

Love shared from the heart

Greetings of hope shared with all

No greeting unsaid

Peace to you and yours

Befitting the seasons love

12 months of the year

Vapor decends

smoke and frost winter

Vapor descends on a cold day

Suspended as in animation

Blue color mixed with grey

A cold winter’s day

We huddle within

Staving off the cold

Lingering near the stove

Removing rawness so bold

This closeness relieves

Ach which attaches

To our hearts and souls

From the world

The perfect escape

With family, friends

Warm hearted joy

Attune to love

A parable of sorts

Fireplace’s warmth

adapts to our need

Drawing our bodies

To its blaze of warmth

Atmosphere of laughter

Does for the soul

Thus bring us closer

In your blaze

Let us remember

Your loving gaze

Etched in our lives

The times spent

Leaning into

The warmth it sent

Let the blues dissipate

As smoke from without

Letting us know

Without a doubt

There is love and joy

With family and friends

Welcoming peace

Only they can bring

Pieces of us left

IMG_0403 (640x480)

Seasons wear on

Wearing down the color

Yet if we stop

Take another look

There are reflection’s

Of seasons past

Little remnants

Of what was

Deliberately left

To identify

It’s existence

Never letting us

Forget a piece

Of us will be left

Once our season

Has ended

Be aware of

The piece of yourself

Left behind
